Medical Care
All NHS Sites, with the exception of the Ontario Street Site, offer inpatient medical units for acutely-ill patients. The health care team cares for the acutely ill, palliative and alternate level of care patients.
Most units offer a special designated room for the provision of therapies (physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech). Dedicated Case Managers / Discharge Planners and Social Workers assist in ensuring a care plan is in place.
